“The Tickled Trout Inn strikes me as a true countryside escape, a place where the Yorkshire landscape informs both the restful atmosphere and the uniquely decorated rooms. I particularly appreciate their focus on local sourcing and artisan food preparation, extending even to a wood-fired pizza oven. It feels like a genuine community hub with a rich history.”

amazing food relaxing breakfast easy location unstocked tea internet connection inconvenient service
The food was amazing. I particularly enjoyed the fish. breakfast was relaxing and a delight! staff. the location suited my needs. It allowed me to get around this part of yorkshire easily.
our room was nice. but unfortunately the tea tray wasn't stocked! i had to ask for things several times, inconvenient. the internet wouldn't connect at all. this was a birthday night away, and these points were disappointing
the evening meal offered excellent choices. the food was beautifully cooked and presented. all staff were attentive and helpful.
the room was nice, but unfortunately nothing had been stocked up, not even tea or fresh milk. the room was freezing when i arrived and took a while to heat up. the internet would not connect at all!

a cozy and friendly stay
friendly staff really good food lovely room
the staff were so friendly. the food i eat was really good. i find a cozy night in a lovely room. this room was tastefully decorated. the bathroom i use was really lovely.
the emergency safety light was very bright. this made it almost impossible to sleep. i think a alternative product is needed. a unobtrusive green lamp is required.
Service

the staff are very kind. they are helpful. i consider this level of attention important and shows true commitment.
Location
10/10
the inn is in a beautiful area. it feels isolated and ideal for touring the Yorkshire region. i wanted to stay longer than one night because i love exploring around there.
